Puppy Yoga on the Crystal Coast: Puppies, Yoga, and a Whole Lot of Smiles
Some events just make people happy the moment they arrive. Puppy Yoga at Carolina Home and Garden was exactly that kind of day.
Hosted in partnership with Island Sol Collective, this outdoor yoga session brought together yoga lovers, dog lovers, and a pack of adorable adoptable puppies from Carteret County Humane Society. With blue skies overhead and yoga mats spread out across the lawn, the atmosphere was relaxed, joyful, and full of puppy energy.
Throughout the session, the puppies wandered from mat to mat, greeting participants, handing out puppy kisses, and occasionally interrupting someone’s downward dog with a wagging tail.
Honestly, nobody seemed to mind.
A Sold Out Event in Less Than 24 Hours
The excitement around this event was clear from the start. Puppy Yoga sold out in less than 24 hours and quickly developed a waitlist.
Events like this show just how strong the dog-loving community is here on the Crystal Coast. People showed up ready to move, laugh, and spend time with puppies who are currently waiting for their forever homes.
Every puppy at the event came from Carteret County Humane Society, giving attendees the chance to interact with adoptable dogs in a relaxed and fun environment outside the shelter.
Supporting Local Dogs and the Community
Events like Puppy Yoga are more than just a fun morning activity. They create real opportunities for rescue dogs to be seen, loved on, and potentially adopted.
When people get to interact with dogs in a positive, low-pressure environment, it often opens the door for future adoptions. Even if someone didn’t leave with a puppy that day, many walked away with a deeper connection to the work local shelters are doing.
Keep an Eye Out for the Next Puppy Yoga
If you missed this one, you’re not alone. With the event selling out so quickly, there is already excitement building for the next session.
Carolina Home and Garden and Island Sol Collective created something really special for the local community, and based on the turnout, it’s safe to say people are hoping this becomes a regular event.
If another Puppy Yoga pops up on the Crystal Coast, you’ll want to grab a spot fast.
