Dog Rescue Photography & Charity Projects in the Crystal Coast
“Because of the dog’s joyfulness, our own is increased. It's no small gift.”
— Mary Oliver
Every dog deserves to be seen for who they are, not where they are.
For years, rescue and shelter photography has been one of the most meaningful parts of my work. I get to meet dogs at all different stages of their journey. Some scared. Some hopeful. Some already convinced they are everyone’s best friend.
My goal is simple.
Create honest, beautiful portraits that help dogs stand out, show their personality, and increase their chances of finding a loving home.
Great photos do not magically fix overcrowding or systemic issues, but they absolutely change first impressions. And first impressions matter.
Why Rescue & Shelter Portraits Matter
Most adopters begin their search online.
They scroll quickly.
They click based on emotion.
They connect through images first.
Quality photography:
⚫️Helps dogs get noticed faster
⚫️Shows expression, eyes, posture, and personality
⚫️Creates emotional connection
⚫️Builds trust with potential adopters
⚫️Gives each dog dignity and presence
A simple portrait can be the difference between being overlooked and being chosen.
I have seen it happen again and again.

Rescues & Shelters I’ve Worked With
I am grateful to collaborate with some truly wonderful organizations, including:
These partnerships mean a lot to me, and I am always open to building new ones.
If you are a rescue or shelter interested in working together, I would love to connect.
Sponsor a Dog. Support a Mission.
Community Sponsorships
While shelters receive photography at no cost, these sessions still require time, equipment, editing, and resources.
That is where sponsorships come in.
A sponsorship allows an individual, business, or organization to financially support rescue photography sessions.
In simple terms:
A sponsor helps cover the cost.
The rescue receives professional images.
The dogs get better exposure.
Everyone wins. Most importantly, the dogs.
What Is a Rescue Photography Sponsorship?
A rescue photography sponsorship is a donation-based contribution that funds professional portrait sessions for adoptable dogs.
Sponsorships help:
Expand how many dogs I can photograph
Increase consistency of sessions
Cover editing, equipment, and travel costs
Keep rescue photography sustainable long-term
Toys and an endless supply of treats to keep tails wagging
Wear and tear on camera + lighting gear
Assistant fees for safety and support
Paid promotions for increased visibility
Sponsors may choose to support a single session, a group of dogs, or ongoing work.
Some businesses also choose sponsorships as a way to give back locally and be associated with a positive, community-focused project.

Why I Care So Deeply About This
I am a dog photographer, yes.
But more than that, I am a lifelong dog person who believes dogs deserve dignity, patience, and a chance.
Rescue photography is not about creating “perfect” dogs.
It is about showing real dogs.
The serious ones.
The goofy ones.
The shy ones.
The quiet ones.
The resilient ones.
Every one of them is worthy of a home.
